“Indian Railway Ophthalmologist Association” is existent for last more than two decades and regularly organising its annual conferences at intervals. Nearing one hundred eye specialists working in Indian Railways are the members of this association.

This Society is already affiliated to All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS). Following the existing protocol at the office of the registrar the same Society has recently been registered as “Indian Railway Ophthalmic Physician Association” (I R O P A).

The association is aiming in regularly organising Continuing Medical Education Programmes (CME) all over India through out the seventeen zones of Indian Railways.
